Pop Culture says that there is nothing wrong about having sex before marriage. Society as a whole says that it’s “okay,” even “expected” if you are a teenager living in America today. A male co-worker told me that my decision was stupid and when I get married I will see what I have been missing. My response to him was, “What have I been missing? Possibly contracting an STD, getting pregnant or feeling used, not to mention having to hide the guilty secret from my parents’ while feeling a desperate connection to the person I lost my virginity to?
